The audition, which will last approximately 30 minutes, comprises your performance of two prepared monologues and an interview with the Artistic Directors.
For your audition, please prepare two short monologues; each monologue should not exceed 1.5-2.5 minutes in length and we strongly urge you to time your performance to ensure that each monologue can be performed in the allotted time. Your two prepared monologues should be from published plays, which you have read. They must be contrasting pieces that are age and gender appropriate; neutral in terms of dialect or accent; and emotionally resonant, dealing with subject matter you can relate to. Please make sure monologues are non-narrative but are active and present tense. You must memorize both monologues, be prepared to perform both of them, and to take direction and incorporate suggestions from the audition panel.
Following your performance, there will be an interview. Please come prepared with any questions you may have for the Artistic Directors.
