Academy Training Goals

The academy's goal is to provide students with a solid foundation for a professional career in acting. The study of acting leads to many areas of knowledge.

One of the most important areas is the knowledge of the self: who you are, what you are not and what is possible for you to become as an actor. The Academy's training emphasizes the development of a personalized technique to utilize that knowledge and realize your artistic potential.

Our Approach

Currently in its tenth season, The Players Academy offers an eight-month program providing students a personalized, organic approach to their acting process. We achieve this through smaller class sizes, wokring professional instructors, and a proven curriculum that meets industry standards.

Our curriculum offers additionally a range of specialized training classes in mask, stagecraft, clown, creating from the heart, rehearsal technique, inventions (the creation of solo performance pieces), and workshop classes with guest artists from the professional theatre and film communities.
